Badgers face many dangers in their lives…
Loss of Habitat and Road Accidents
The badger faces many problems, the loss of its environment through development, and the large number of road deaths, about 50,000 a year.
The group works with developers by doing badger surveys to try and keep disturbance to a minimum, and by helping to plan badger friendly roads.
Badgers and Bovine TB
The Welsh Assembly Government has a policy within its BTB eradication programme, of Vaccinating badgers in the IAA. We heartily support this policy and are campaigning to spread vaccination to the whole of Wales. We are firmly against the Culling of any Badgers unless the Badger in question has been tested and proved to have BTB.
We are also against ‘Pilot Culls’ in England and Culling in general, unless Infection is proven in individual Animals.
Please help us in the conservation and protection of the badger
